There are quite a number of restaurants and bars on World Dream Cruise. However, only 3 inclusive restaurants provide free meals to passengers onboard at designated period of time.
If passengers would like to eat special cuisine or eat beyond the designated period of time for free meal, they may pay and have their meal at specialty restaurants and bars/lounges. For examples, they can have lunch at “Hot Pot” or have dinner at “Prime Steakhouse by Mark Best”. There is a 24 hours specialty restaurant – its called “Blue Lagoon”. It can help avoid the influx of huge amount of passengers at those inclusive restaurants.
The 3 inclusive restaurants are:
– Dream Dining Room Lower (7th Floor): offering buffet;
– Dream Dining Room Upper (8th Floor): offering Chinese set menu; and
– The Lido (16th Floor): offering both indoor and outdoor buffet.
For information about (including the business hours) of the inclusive restaurants and specialty restaurants, please visit the cruise company’s website at: https://www.dreamcruiseline.com/en/cruise-experiences/restaurants/.
In order to save money, I almost had all my meal at the 3 restaurants mentioned above.
Dinner at Dream Dining Room (8th Floor)
My classmates, tutors and I had Chinese set dinner at the Dream Dining Room on 8th floor.
We were asking for a table for 12 people. But the restaurant could not arrange this for us!! 😦 However, not waiting for long, we got 3 tables for a total of 12 people.

The view from my table was beautiful. It overlooked the Dream Dining Room on 7th floor!

The set menu looked good! 🙂

Here the dishes arrived! They arrived so quickly – just like in 6 minutes!! We thought the food was pre-cooked. When the guests arrived, the restaurant staff promptly reheat the food. So, when the dishes arrived our table, they were not hot! They were only warm!!

That disappointed us a lot because the food lost its temperature so fastly!! We requested the staff to reheat the dishes for us. At the same time, we ordered extra food. We ordered 1 dish of Xiao Long Bao (the dumpling with soup and pork meat inside) and 1 dish of dumplings.
Due to the time limit, I had no chance to take the photos of the Xiao Long Bao and dumplings. For those as the first time cruisers, bear in mind that the extra food are not included on the menu. So, if you guys would like to order, you have to pay extra.
Lunch At Dream Dining Room Lower (7th Floor)
Because I went to sleep late on my first night, I got up very late on the second cruising day. I did not have breakfast. Instead, when I got up, it was already lunch time. I arrived the Dream Dining Room Lower located on 7th floor at 1:07 p.m.
The restaurant was already decorated with Christmas theme. Look at this ginger bread house near the entrance of the restaurant! It’s so cute!! 🙂

I shared a table with 2 Hong Kong ladies. The restaurant itself was very spacious. It looked pretty and grand with a super super high ceiling. I saw the table for my first night dinner (on 8th floor) from the angle of my table.

Light Meal At The Lobby Cafe (6th Floor)
I got hungry just before I watched the movie “Annabelle Comes Home” at the lobby. I decided to have sweet potato during the movie. It was only HKD10! What a good price! After the movie, I went to have my free dinner at The Lido located on 16th floor (main pool deck).

Dinner At The Lido (16th Floor)
I had my second night dinner at The Lido restaurant. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor buffet. I was afraid that the food would get cool easily if I chose outdoor buffet. That’s why I dined at its indoor buffet.

I did think that this dinner was the most delicious meal I had ever had on World Dream Cruise. The steamed fish and spicy crab were so yummy!! To appreciate the chefs’ hard work, I went to the buffet tables and told them the fish and crab were very delicious!! 🙂 They were very happy when they heard my compliment. 🙂

Super yummy steamed fish and spicy crab!!! 🙂
Breakfast At The Lido (16th Floor)
Because of the second night’s very good dining experience at The Lido restaurant, I decided to have my first but also my last breakfast there. I didn’t eat much. The food was OK.
